A terrific seafood curry courtesy of Kevin and Cuong. For the main course, flank steak with roasted potatoes...a delicious (and unexpected) Easter dinner. After the main course, Sofia performs a floor show before dessert arrives (and before her still-jetlagged bedtime).
Dessert came with three options: plain, mascarpone, or Kevin's experimental mascarpone creation. All three were delicious. In Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport, our final stop on the way home. This is the face of "are we ever going home again, or do we live in airports now?" Considering the fact that we'd dragged her 12,000 miles and eighteen timezones around the world in nine days, Sofia held up amazingly well. She's a born traveler.
Amy took advantage of the fact that we were in Paris to make a stop at the airport shop of Ladurée , the orignal creator of the macaroon. Note the caressing of the box in anticipation of the macaroony treasures inside. Macaroony treasures...from left to right, salted caramel, vanilla, and passionfruit. These did not last long enough to make it onto the plane to Barcelona. Sofia learns an important new word.
